엔젤스 인 아메리카의 줄거리
1980년대 에이즈 위기에 직면한 뉴욕주민들의 이야기를 다룬 드라마. 할머니 장례식장에 참석 중인 루이스에게 동성 연인인 프라이어가 자신이 에이즈에 걸렸음을 알리고, 루이스는 프라이어의 병과 그의 죽음에 대해 걱정하기 시작한다. 모르몬교도인 조와 하퍼 부부는 남녀가 아닌 친구 관계로 결혼 생활을 하고 있고, 하퍼는 그런 결혼 생활에 불만이 크다. 매일 약에 의존해 살고 환영 속에서 상상 속 친구들과 대화하던 하퍼는 어느 날 환영 속에서 만난 프라이어의 계시로 남편 조가 동성애자임을 알게 되고 충격에 빠진다.
