동물학자 잭 랜들과 함께 지구상에서 가장 혹독한 환경에서 살아가는 이국적이고 상징적인 멸종 위기 동물들을 찾아 나서자. 잭은 호주 아웃백 지역 깊숙이 들어가 위험한 악어, 예측할 수 없는 비단뱀, 멸종 위기에 처한 바다거북, 다양한 독사와 야생 캥거루를 만나러 간다.
